Two nice tunes from Just One Night, one half of Wolf + Lamb (Gadi Mizrahi) and Greg Paulus. It’s nice, deep, housey, good. The second tune’s intro reminds me of Laid Back’s “White Horse”

I’ve mislaid my headphones since before Christmas, and I absolutely hate trying to listen to music through the crap speakers on my laptop. I’ve never been a massive fan of dubstep, but Mount Kimbie’s music is damn good. At times reminiscent of Four Tet at his most delicate, there’s a great grasp of melody here as well as some gorgeous sounds, all wrapped up with a little dubsteppy bow.

Jerry Fuchs, one of my favourite drummers, died yesterday. His work with the Juan Maclean and Maserati among others is close to perfect in terms of his drumming, and especially now that I drum in a band myself, I always felt his style was one I wanted to emulate. What an absolute tragedy, here’s a few examples of his serious drumming.
