I’ve been listening to a lot of acid house recently, and when doing a bit of research on it discovered that Psychic Tv are credited with coining the term itself. Comprising members of Throbbing Gristle, the song has all the hallmarks of what acid house is (303’s, the words acid house) and seems fairly well-placed in the timeline of things (it was released in 1988) to justify that claim. Cosmic Cars. By Cybotron. Had never heard it until last week. Quite the incredible song. Apparently their second release, from 1982.
